Join us for a very special edition of Funhouse at Eraser Records!

This month we welcome touring comics on their way to The Fest in Gainesville, with headliner Kevin Casey White (NYC), and featuring Anna Valenzuela (LA) and John Michael Bond (LA) along with Courtney Olson (St. Augustine) and Worst Coast Comedy’s own Daisy Tackett and Brian Zeolla! Hosted by Trevor Johnson.

Described by the Chicago Tribune as “A physical expression of an exclamation point,” Kevin Casey White is a cheerful cynic with a dynamic stage presence. Most recently featured on Audible’s The Comedy Show Show with Will Arnett, Arnett praised Kevin’s “Fair, unbiased wit.” for Kevin’s hosting of his hit podcast Arguments & Grievances, which has received rave reviews from Chicago Magazine, The Laugh Button, won “Best Variety Show” from The Reader, and been featured in several festivals such as Limestone and The Comedy Exposition. A St. Louis native, Kevin got his start by founding Bare Knuckle Comedy, the city’s longest-running independent comedy showcase. Since then he has appeared on such podcasts as Put Your Hands Together w/ Cameron Esposito, Terrified w/ Dave Ross, and Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction, plus festivals like TBS’s New York Comedy Festival, and truTV’s High Plains Comedy Festival. Kevin has also appeared in several comedic shorts including the Break.com favorite “Definitions: Pillow Fight” and “Lovers Lookout” which won “Best Short Film” at Quirkfest in L.A. Kevin currently lives in New York where he needs help paying the rent.

Anna Valenzuela has a radiant smile that’s wonderfully at odds with her dark material. A trained black-belt, she’s fought her way to the top of LA’s competitive stand-up scene with sheer force of will and killer jokes. She can easily roast the audience, other comics, and herself with equal aplomb. Anna’s skills earned her a spot on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, where she emotionally destroyed her opponents while maintaining her balance in kitten heels.

Her warm nature draws audiences in, and her expertly-crafted bits keep them coming back for more. She’s in-demand in LA and elsewhere, having been featured as for three years running at Broke LA, and also making regular appearances at the Comedy Store, and the Improv. She’s traveled out-of-state to festivals like Big Pine and the Flyover Comedy Festival, and was a standout in her hometown at the Second City’s Los Angeles Diversity in Comedy Festival. Accolades have come from other comedians too – Jackie and Laurie featured Anna as the comic of the week on their far-reaching podcast. As much in demand for her opinions as her jokes, Anna’s appeared on Fangirling streaming on Nerdist, and she hosts two podcasts: 12 Questions, an in-depth look at sobriety, and Bruja-ja, where three Latinas dish on all things Latinx.

Originally from Chattanooga, TN, John-Michael Bond honed his craft as part of the nationally recognized Atlanta, GA comedy scene, running the 1AM Secret Show and working in rooms across the city. Creative Loafing magazine described his comedy as covering, “the arduous yet worthwhile pursuit of love, rationalizing vices with how they impact relationships, the wackiness of death, and why society should be nicer.” He feels that’s accurate.
